What do these courses entail?

This one-year course is designed for students with an interest in working with children and contributing to their development in early learning or community-based settings. With a focus on early childhood education and care, this nationally recognised qualification provides a valuable starting point for students considering careers in childcare, education support, or community services. The course is delivered by SMTAFE and combines classroom learning with hands-on experiences. |
Course Delivery The course is delivered on campus at Kolbe Catholic College each Thursday in Terms 1-3, with full-day sessions facilitated by SMTAFE staff. Students will also have scheduled periods in their regular timetable throughout the week to catch up on work missed on Thursdays and to receive dedicated support for their certificate requirements. |
WORKPLACE LEARNING
In Term 4, students will be required to complete compulsory Workplace Learning, providing real-world experience in an early childhood setting and allowing them to apply the skills and knowledge developed throughout the course.
