WHAT DOes THE COURSe ENTAIL IN media ART? |
Visual Art In this term long course, you will be introduced to thinking critically and creatively about your art and the art of others. You will get the chance to work in both 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional art styles in a variety of art materials such as drawing, painting, printing and clay building, just to name a few. You will develop your ideas in a visual diary utilising your iPad and digital skills and respond to your artwork and the art of others, looking at compositional techniques and being introduced to an awareness of cultural, social and historical contexts. |
Media Art In Year 7 Media Arts, we spend a term exploring the dynamic world of media arts and production. You will learn the basic media codes that are used to share ideas and create meaning, and study conventions and representation in media examples. You will work across the media types of film, photography, and advertising, developing both critical thinking and creative skills. You will also get to produce your own content in hands-on projects, using cameras and Adobe editing software on iPads, and following media production processes independently and in small groups. |
