ITALIAN By immersing in Italian language studies, students embark on a transformative journey that bridges continents and cultivates global citizenship. JAPANESE This course builds on the skills developed in Year 7 Japanese, deepening students’ ability to communicate in everyday situations while exploring more of Japan’s vibrant culture. Topics covered include school life in Japan, daily routines, birthdays, hobbies and popular pastimes such as anime, music, and traditional festivals. Students will expand their vocabulary and learn how to form simple sentences using present and past-tense verbs. They will also be introduced to essential grammar concepts such as particles, verb conjugation, and an introduction to Kanji. Through practical and engaging tasks that focus on speaking, listening, reading, and writing, students will develop the ability to express themselves with greater independence and confidence. This course lays a strong foundation for continued language studies in future years and nurtures curiosity about Japan and the world beyond Australia. |
